The clock tower

Clock Tower Saha is one of the few preserved architectural monuments of the 17th century. It is assumed that it was built between 1650 and 1710, but the exact date of construction is unknown.

Historians associate it with the economic growth of the city. To regulate the working day in craft workshops and shops and to avoid unfair competition in Peshtera, simultaneous "raising and lowering the shutters" was needed in the whole market under the blows of "Saha". The exact distribution of working day was of great importance to craftsmen and merchants.
